Did You Know?

Interesting Things From Our Past

The history of Greenbrier County, West Virginia, begins with the Scotch-Irish and German settlers who migrated to the Shenandoah Valley between 1732 and 1745.  Lewisburg, the county seat, was incorporated by an Act of the Virginia Assembly in 1782, making it one of the oldest towns in West Virginia.

DID YOU KNOW? Is a special feature of The Lewisburg Living History Exhibit. Interesting and long-forgotten facts about the past are featured in the county’s local newspapers.  You can read them here.  Click on a link below for features with pictures.   VISIT OFTEN – we hope to add many more!
